Oscars 2019: HandPicked Best Dressed Stars

Everyone was left spellbound and found it impossible to shift their eyes from their TV sets last Sunday. As each star rolled down the crimson red carpet, all fashionistas sat taking notes of the perfect designer gowns and suits that were seen in Oscars 2019.

As mentioned in our last blog, a lot of pink dominated the event. For a change, pink seized to be a color associated with the “ladies”. On the contrary, a lot of bold pink designer wears were spotted.

In addition to the pink bloom, pantsuits became quite popular, thanks to the Oscars 2019. Each celebrity looked fascinating, carrying their style with grace and panache. But of course, there were some who stood out.  While you may take inspiration from quite a lot present at the Academy Awards this year, My Style Authority brings to you our top picks!

Regina King:

While the others were dressed in budding pink and contemporary pantsuits, Regina King chose to stick onto classic whites. Whites never fail. Never. Be it an ordinary outing, a date night or a night dedicated to fashion, white can be your to-go color.

Regina King did absolute justice to the color and went on with a beautifully crafted Oscar de la Renta ivory gown.  The much-needed glam to this chic attire was added by the thigh-high slit. The star chose a pair of Christian Louboutin pumps and Chopard jewelry to pump up her look

Awkwafina:

If sparkles are your thing then Awkwafina's glittery pantsuit must be your favorite style. Needless to say, we loved it! Though this was her debut in this year's Academy awards, Awkwafina was absolutely cool in her sparky yet smart suit and a pussy bow around her neck!

Emma Stone:

As a rule of fashion, either you go all bold and jeweled or you opt for an absolute subtle look with minimalistic accessories, there is no in between.

Emma Stone opted for the first option and glided down the red carpet like a falling star! She chose to flaunt a strong-shoulder amber toned gown by Louis Vuitton and completed her look with accessories from the Louis Vuitton High Jewelry range.

Amy Adams:

Following the footsteps of Regina King, the beautiful Amy Adams also chose to go all white for this year’s Academy Awards. She wore a strapless white column by Atelier Versace. The zigzag pattern made the gown even more appealing. She topped her look with Cartier jewels and her killer confidence.

Angela  Basset:

Coming back to the pink resolution of Oscars 2019, Angela Bassett is a must-mention name. As mentioned earlier, pink has been associated with dainty looks and girly appeals. But such stereotypes were shattered this year, and Angela Basset was one of the pioneers who made it possible!

The star became the head turner dressed in a customized fuschia Reem Acra gown. The main attraction of this beautiful dress was the sculptural bow placed effortlessly on the shoulder. She paired her gown with a  pair of Casadei sandals and pink earrings.

Lady Gaga:

We always go “gaga” about Lady Gaga! Her voice is melting butter and her sense of style is sheer gold! Gaga never fails to grab the attention of her fans, and the Oscars 2019 too was no exception.

Dressed in a strapless classic black Alexander McQueen ball gown, Lady Gaga stole the show. The catch of this otherwise flat black gown lay in the sculptural accents around the waist.

The fashionista teamed it up with a pair of elbow length black gloves and a very classy yellow diamond necklace crafted by Tiffany.Co

Emelia Clark:

Amidst all the dazzle and glitter, one star shone very brightly. The twinkle twinkle Mother of Dragons, Emelia Clark! Her perfect blushed complexion complemented her shimmery metallic Balmain dress perfectly. Though her killer smile is her best accessory, she took the accessory game a step further with a pair of drop earring and a chainlink bracelet.

Glam and glitter dominated the Oscars this year. Our wait for next year’s style begins!
